Terms of Service

Last updated: September 2026

This is a draft prepared for the MyBima website and has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel. Do not treat it as final or legally binding until it has been reviewed and formally adopted.
01

Our Role

MyBima is an insurance intermediary licensed by the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) of Kenya. We compare and arrange policies on your behalf with our partner insurers; the insurance contract itself is between you and the insurer you select, not with MyBima.
02

Quotes & Accuracy

Quotes shown on this site are indicative and based on the information you provide. Final premiums are confirmed by the insurer and may change based on underwriting, inspection, or additional disclosures required by law.
03

Payments

Premium payments made via M-Pesa, Airtel Money, or card are processed through the relevant payment provider and remitted to your chosen insurer. Keep your payment confirmation (M-Pesa message or receipt) as proof of payment.
04

No Warranty on Insurer Performance

While we vet our partner insurers for IRA licensing, we do not guarantee any insurer’s claim decisions, payout timelines, or service quality. Claims are assessed and settled by the insurer in line with your policy terms.
05

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use this site to submit false information, attempt to defraud an insurer, or interfere with the site’s normal operation.
06

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Kenyan law, MyBima is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of this site, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
07

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Kenyan courts, without prejudice to any right to refer insurance disputes to the IRA or the Insurance Ombudsman.
08

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
